- Actually, a few weeks ago I had just got a 2000 with a Derringer to
- run Shapeshifter properly using rsrvmem. But then all of a sudden (it
- seemed) rsrvmem sent it into continuous rebooting cycles (prepareemul always
- did because of the derringer). However, I had just gotten an IV-24 myself
- and put it in the 2000 around the same time. So maybe the 2 were connected,
- yes?
-
- However, then I went out and got an A4000T, and prepareemul runs fine
- on it with the IV-24 installed. Now on both the 4000 and 3000 models, the
- IV-24 card plugs into a slot that's inline with a video slot, whereas on the
- 2000 you have to hook a daughterboard to the video slot.
-
- Or maybe it's just some difference in the bus design (ZII vs ZIII) that causes
- one to fail and lets the other work.
